• Improve animal models for human solid tumors and hematologic neoplasias, and their use in the molecular dissection of oncogenesis and mestastagenesis and in evaluating the role of cancer stem cells in these processes.
• Use of animal models in the preclinical development of nanoparticles as vectors for receptor-mediated delivery of gene or protein therapy and of novel antitumor drugs with defined therapeutic targets.
• Develop new patentable devices for the identification of prognostic biomarkers and personalized therapy of cancer.
