Decisions on applications for the 2011 CIBER-BNN Scholarships for initiation in research, or “launching” grants, were announced on January 24, 2011. Four scholarships have been awarded, with the purpose, as on other occasions, of making it easier for young research students, in their final year or recently graduates, to join the CIBER-BBN research groups.

A list of back-up candidates has also been agreed, in case any of the grants are not taken up.
